Stunning Debut of the Repairing of a Life

SIMPLE BROKEN BEAUTIFUL is the title on a notebook of poetry written by Leigh  in 2008. This was during radiotherapy treatment following surgery for a brain tumour, which was affecting his ability to express himself in words. The notebook writing was the beginning of a work that developed into a long poem called 'Stunning debut of the repairing of a life'. The resulting manuscript won The Kathleen Grattan Award for Poetry 2009, judged by Ian Wedde.

Stunning Debut

Available at Otago University Press

NAMELESS a long poem by Leigh Davis. Conceived as a ‘play’ in acts and scenes and completed in 2008, it was his last work.

REDUX a ‘staging’ in DVD and book form of NAMELESS by Stephen Bambury, completed in 2013. The DVD carries a ‘flythrough’ by Bruce Ferguson, sound by Alastair Galbraith, and the voices of Jennifer Ward-Lealand and Michael Hurst.
